Once Upon A Midnight Dreary....
Inspired by the dark works of Edgar Allen Poe, this collection aims to take a darker turn. The two driving factors behind this inspiration were Poe's chilling literary works themselves, along with the style of lingerie during this Victorian Period. Predecessors to modern lingerie such as the corset, hand-made lace, whaleboning, and lace-up backs all echo throughout the collection. I then added my own take on this topic by incorporating elements of intricate, hand-drawn elements to further emulate the dark, poetic, artistic work.
